Dirty Popcorn
by Karen Sawyer, mommacat@mediaone.net courtesy of World Wide Recipes.com

This is my first submission; I think you'll like it. My hubby and I live outside of Atlanta, GA, and we are owned by two cats. They send their regards to you, Nell. Keep up the great work, Chef!

OK, so the recipe name sounds funny. But I guarantee they will eat this up. I named it Dirty Popcorn because with the cinnamon specs on it, it sort of looks well dirty. It s not plain popcorn, but it s not caramel corn either. It s sort of in-between. This is quick to make, easy to store, and is just perfect for snacking.

2 bags Microwave Light Butter Popcorn, popped
1 stick margarine (don t use butter; it burns too easily)
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt

Preheat oven to 300 degrees

Place popped popcorn into two large cake pans, 9 x 13 each. In a pan
on top of the stove, melt the margarine, sugar, cinnamon, and salt
together until the sugar is dissolved. Pour this mixture over the
popcorn and stir. Place both pans into a 300-degree oven for 15
minutes. Cool, store in an airtight container. Makes about 12-16
cups popcorn.
