For Kids Who Like To Create

by Kathleen Bieke, Sites4Moms.com

Look at how computers have changed our world. If we had had them as children, how would we, those over 25, have turned out? I have always loved to read and write. Would I have been busy sitting in front of the computer and neglecting the creative side of me or would I have used the computer to make life easier. I guess I'll never know. I do know that our children today are just as creative as we were. They have so many more choices though. This website is for the child who likes to create by writing, reading and drawing.

The Table of Contents features: articles index, artists links, book corner, contests, craft corner, parent links, past issues of the ezine and more. Kids who create will not just surf this site and leave. It offers them an outlet for their work. The site posts original poetry, stories, artwork and book reviews. The poetry, stories and artwork reviews are all by kids. An adult and some children evaluate the books. Kids love to see their name made public. Having it seen by thousands and thousands on the Internet- even better!

The articles written here are also for the aspiring adult writer. We can glean a lot from these easy to read articles. The current articles available are: Dealing with rejection (for the writer submitting work to various publications), What is a query, How to write a query, keeping track of submissions and more.

The helpful articles aren't the only choices here. There are some fantastic links too. Your budding writer can check the Contests page and see where they can send their great stories and poems. This is wonderful for kids -and grown ups. Until next time.
