Someone sent me "The Eight Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter"
last year. I laughed so hard, I cried. When I came across his website,
I had to feature it. This man is so funny! His teenage daughters
are the source of material. (I'll express my sympathy to them now.)
With everything that has been happening lately, I think we need
a laugh. You will definitely get a few chuckles while visiting this
site. I don't even have teenagers yet and still found his columns
hilarious. W. Bruce Cameron, the author, approaches things with
a different viewpoint. For instance, instead of worrying about his
daughters driving on their own, he cracks jokes about it. We know
that there is nothing we can do about it so laughing about it eases
our tension.
Some of the other subjects he deals with are: family, growing up,
teenagers, camping, and animals. He also has columns under "Miscellaneous"
which features what he experienced while passing a kidney stone
as well as other humorous stories.
If you're looking for a break from the stress of daily life, check
out this site. His rules for dating his daughter are still my favorite.
You can even purchase it in book form. He "covers such dreaded topics
as curfew, prom, clothing and why your daughter should be wearing
more of it, boyfriends and how to prevent them, braces (the most
expensive metal on earth), how to convert all of your cash assets
into a single semester of college, and a host of other subjects
unique to raising teenage daughters." See what I mean? The guy is
funny! Until next time.
