School will be ending soon and many children will be graduating from high school. Besides the questions of "How will I finance 4 years of college?" are other more pressing issues that students-to-be ask themselves: Do I want to go away to school or attend locally? Where do I find help with financial aid? Who will do my laundry? These questions (and others) can be answered by visiting the Petersons.com website.
To make things easy, scroll down to the bottom of the home page and click on Sitemap. This website is massive and this will help you do a more focused search for your interests. Here is a basic overview of what is covered. You can check out many, many colleges with very specific information. Registration is required but it is free. An easy way to keep track of what institutions you've contacted as well as their entrance requirements. The Specific Areas of Interest is where you will find specifics on: financial aid, test preparation and distance learning. Each of these sections is a goldmine of useful information. Other areas include: distance learning, summer camps and other summer jobs, private schools, graduate schools, careers and more. You can purchase books and other collegiate material. They even offer a newsletter that keeps readers informed of education news and advice. I have just skimmed over what is available here. There is just too much useful data to really delve into it. If you or your child is looking at college in the upcoming year(s) you will really want to bookmark this site. Until next time.
